Process of Moisture Formation on the Internal Side of Lens


When the lamp is turned on, temperature inside the lamp increases and moisture previously absorbed by the lamp material will be released. This results in hot and humid air around the lamp.
2. Cold weather or other reasons decrease the temperature of the lens.
3. Once the hot and humid air inside the lamp touches the cooler lens, the hot and humid air turns into condensation on the internal side of the lens.
With a newly installed lamp turned on for the first time, there might be moisture on the internal side of lens for the first 1~3 days, depending on the temperature and humidity level of the customers location. This is a normal phenomenon and should go away after the moisture is released. If the phenomenon continues, then the lamp unit should be checked to make sure there no air leaks or damages (such as the socket and the cover).
